|A shot from the sunrise wedding...|
We're trying to think of names for littlest one, and so far we have considered two names, but one is the name of a recent Grammy award winner, which generally means that in about 6 years' time there will be at least 3 in every Grade One class in the country. There goes that one. The other choice just doesn't seem to hitting the spot so we are on the lookout. We like names that are unusual but not weird, and reasonably old fashioned. Any suggestions are welcome!
Some good news is that it looks like the toddler has all the teeth she will have for the next couple of years, so I am free of teething niggles for at least the next 6 months. But it does mean I can't blame any and all niggles on teething anymore. Bummer.

More good news is that I found out that there is a way of studying direct-entry-midwifery here in South Africa! Woohoo! So even though I may not take advantage of the opportunity in the next year or so, I know it is there! Either way, I am thinking of doing a doula qualification first, just to get some more experience in the field before I commit myself to midwifery. I went for tea with a doula friend in the area and she is studying midwifery through this particular group. It was so lovely to chat to someone on the same page when it comes to all things birthy!
Even more good news is that another one of my bridesmaids got married this week to a really wonderful guy. It was so beautiful! A sunrise wedding on the beach - unusual but very special!
I have noticed that my belly does get quite uncomfortable if I pick up the toddler, so I trying to cut down as much as possible. She seems to be very understanding when I tell her that picking her up makes mommy's belly 'eina' (trans: sore) and I try to cuddle with her lots when I am sitting down. I am also being more careful about lifting things and pushing my body too much generally, whilst still maintaining a healthy level of exercise. Pregnancy is not a disease or disorder!
So that was a lot of good news for one week! Long may it continue in Week 31 of our pregnancy diary!
